Abstract
This study examines the recovery of the historical memory of the Spanish Civil War through the Spanish film history during the last forty years. The different stages resulted from this analyzes can be better understood through the theory of posttraumatic syndrome caused by cultural collective trauma. In this study the relationship between the collective trauma, testimony, and forms of group behavior, is understood in relation to the PTSD periods.
